This Page Will Give Advice On Buying Claimers.

When buying a horse from a claimer.

When you buy a horse from a claimer you have two options either go for a horse with low wins so that you can progress through the grades and hopefully will be good enough in level weights .

The second option is to buy a more experienced horse that has a lot of loses so that you can run the horse in allowance races and once you get the win then continue running in cheap claimers.

1. Look at the races the horse has run in because the grade and size of field can determine price.

2. When looking at the races always look at the jockeys because a horse winning with top jocks might not be so good but a horse that places with bad jockeys could be a bargain.

3. Only spend what you think it is worth because in auction there could be multi stables bidding up the price and you might get carried away.

4. Always look at the horses claiming history and auction history using the icon H.

5. When buying older horses remember the races are more expensive so might break your budget.
